mdawkins has once again released a updated package and this time it’s the latest version of vim. You can find the link to the source rpm here:
http://www.mypclinuxos.com/forum/index.php?topic=2151.0;topicseen
Please leave your suggestions, issues and praises at the above link.
Here’s some more information about vim and this release. (in case you wondered)
Vim is an advanced text editor that seeks to provide the power of the
de-facto Unix editor ‘Vi’, with a more complete feature set.
This is a stable release of Vim, version 7.1. Since version 7.0 lots of
problems were fixed and runtime files were updated. It has been one
year and five days since 7.0!
Most of Vim 7.1 was already available as patches for quite a while. A
couple of test versions were made to spot problems in the distribution.
Therefore Vim 7.1 can be considered very stable.
If you are using an older version, it is highly recommended you install
Vim 7.1. Several crashing bugs and a security issue were fixed.
Once you have installed Vim 7.1 you can find details about the
changes since Vim 7.0 with “:help version-7.1″.

As of quite a few months ago I started hosting the incoming RPMS for Santas helper. I just realized the front page would be a good place to post the rpms of interest to the community. These are test rpms and there’s no repos offered. So use at your own risk! If you do use them though leave feedback to the post.
Skype 2.0.0.72 is the latest RPM announcement from mdawkins

This now marks the beginning of the PCLinuxOS Hardware Database invading your desktop. As of yesterday I (with a lot of Tex’s help) finished packaging a Konqueror profile that connects to a hardware web submission form. There’s now a rpm for it in PASS called hwdbsubmission. This is the first major step in many to create a simple to use application that will allow users in the future to easily, search, view and submit hardware to the PCLinuxOS Hardware Database without having to surf to the page. Kinda a direct connection from the desktop. The project and it’s updates will be hosted on this site. A 2.0 version is already being dreamed up. Thanks for your support.

Just wanted to let anyone knew who even knew about this site that the other site I maintain, PCLinuxOSHWDB.com is down due to some crazy upgrade issues that most likely I have brought on myself. There’s no real need to worry as I have pretty much everything backed up, but it may take me getting some extra help and a few days to get everything back up.

Hello all,
Last night was a late night for me. I got board and decided to write an Front end for Cwiid. Which is strange because I don’t know how to program. Cwiid is a set of tools that allows you to use your WiiMote as a mouse over bluetooth.
You can down load the Cwiid RPMS Here:
cwiid-0.5.03-1pclos2007.i586.rpm
libwiimote0-0.5.03-1pclos2007.i586.rpm
You can install these using Kpackage or if Kpackage isn’t installed. Login as root then cd to the directory the RPMS are downloaded to and do:
rpm -i libwiimote0-0.5.03-1pclos2007.i586.rpm
and let it install then do the same for the next rpm
rpm -i cwiid-0.5.03-1pclos2007.i586.rpm
Now download the GUI at
qwiimote.zip
and follow the instructions in the README

This site is just a simple site devoted to hosting files for PCLinuxOS. It seems as though projects on MyPCLinuxOS have grown to be quite large and some require some extra space to upload an download files. We are currently just Hosting Gettinther’s RPMS for the TinyMe Project and whatever side projects that encompasses.
